The ancient village of Duong Lam on the outskirts of Hanoi is also known as a museum of laterite, home to around 300 houses built three or four centuries ago with lateritic bricks. The village has also been described as the last stronghold of wet rice farming culture in northern Vietnam. A journey to Duong Lam village is a trip to trace back the origin of Vietnam’s culture and traditions. This is also the great chance to explore architecture of ancient structures while you wander along its narrow alleyways, visit temples dedicated to the two kings born there, and most interesting of all, chat with the inhabitants, the owners of a national treasure.
Ba Vi National Park is a national park located 48 km (30 mi) west of Hanoi, Vietnam. The park is 7,377 ha (18,230 acres) in area, and is located in the Ba Vì mountain range. The park has rich and diverse tropical and subtropical species of flora and fauna. Ba Vi National Park is located in Ba Vi District of Hanoi and two districts of Hòa Bình Province, namely Lương Sơn and Kỳ Sơn. The Park is situated on a mountain range running north-east and south-west with its peak at Vua Peak of 1,296 m and Tan Vien Peak of 1,226 m and Ngoc Hoa Peak of 1,120 m

8:00: Your tour guide will pick you up the hotel. We will beat the downtown traffic and start our ride to Ba Vi national park is located 60km from Hanoi to the west. This is the only national park in the area of Hanoi, with cool climate every months, especially in summer (from April to October of the calendar). In winter, covering cloud creates a deeply impressive landscape. With the diversity of animals and plants, Ba Vi National Park is a exciting destination for all natural discovery. When standing on Mountain Peak, more than 1200m, you will see the panoramic landscape. Leaving the roads in Ba Vi National Park. We continue the journey to Duong Lam ancient village, a typically agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta where a lot of hundred-year-old houses are still preserved. Upon arrival, you walk along the old path to Mong Phu communal house – the solemn center of the whole village. Next, spend a visit to a local house that is almost 400 years old, then have a bicycle ride around this peaceful rural area to discover the daily life and farming works of Vietnamese peasants. Your lunch will be served here. Your trip is followed by another visit to two temples dedicated to two national heroes Phung Hung and Ngo Quyen who were born in this site over 1000 years ago. Then, have lunch in the local house with the host’s family. Again biking to Mia Pagoda, a well-known Buddhist temple built in 15th century and it holds the biggest number of statues: 287 ones of all sizes. After all, drive back to Hanoi, and tour ends at Meracus Hotel by 4:00pm. Come Back to Hanoi about 6PM. The trip end, see a good trip on next time.
